Process Safety Management Summit 2018

Manchester will play host to the 2018 PSM Summit, hosted by the UK PSM Competence Programme Board, the Process Safety Forum and the COMAH Strategic Forum.

Following on from the launch in 2012 of the PSM Competence Programme Board’s ‘UK Strategy for Skills in Process Safety Management’, the 3rd in a triennial series of PSM Summits will see practitioners and executives from industry, stakeholder and regulatory bodies coming together to explore the future direction for the successful UK PSM Training Standards programme. The Summit will highlight the best practice guidance and support available from across these forums.

With support from the Health & Safety Executive, UK PSM Competence Programme Board, the Process Safety Forum, the COMAH Strategic Forum and case studies from industry, the Summit will focus on encouraging stakeholders and businesses in all sectors with the potential for major accidents or catastrophic incidents to understand how the underlying principles of process safety can be applied to the management of hazards and risks in their business.
